On the north facing slopes of the Blackdown Hills near the Wellington Monument, Quants is a damp woodland where spring water reaches the surface making it a habitat for alder and birch as well as orchid and lichens.

During the summer there may be some grazing animals present to maintain the grasslands at the site.

Parking on site is a small lay by just off Dolling's Road with space for a few cars, but please ensure you do not block access to the gate.
