Coaley Peak is a hilly grassland and wildflower meadow, and the adjoining lush valley forest of the Penn and Stanley Wood, overlooking the Severn Vale. For those looking to sit back and take in the wonderful views across the Severn, this is a perfect place to visit.

Notably this location is also home to the Neolithic Nympsfield Long Barrow, which is managed by English Heritage.

The site has a few picnic benches situated in places where you can see across the vale, and the main area near the car park is not flat, but is smooth underfoot and would be relatively easy for visitors with reduced mobility to find a good viewing spot.

There are some parts of the site which require you to go through a kissing gate, and the woodland may not be suitable for those who struggle on uneven or hilly ground.

Cick on the items in the list below to focus the map on that amenity.
