On the south coast of Cornwall just to the south east of Praa Sands, Rinsey Cove, also known as Porthcew is a small secluded beach, with rock pools and large cave that goes in to the cliffside.
Slightly off the beaten track of some of the more tourist focused beaches in Cornwall, and the difficult path to the beach, this location can be quite quiet, relative to some of the nearby beaches.
The path down to the beach is very steep in places, and you must be able to scramble down (and back up) some difficult to traverse rocky steps.
For those not able to make it down to the beach, there is still a nice walk along the top of the hills on the South West Coast Path past the Wheal Prosper Tin Mine.
From the top of the hills around the cove, it may be possible to seals and even dolphins out to sea.
We recommend that you check the tide times before visiting as the beach may be submerged during high tide.
