South West

Cornwall

Devon

The only county in England with two coastlines, Devon has sandy beaches, rocky cliffs, and inland a mostly hilly landscape, with Dartmoor and Exmoor national parks being great locations to experience the south west peninsula.

Gloucestershire

With many significant areas such as the Forest of Dean, the rivers Severn and Wye, the Cotswold hills and a large man made wetland habitat, Gloucestershire has a varied landscape which provides many different opportunities for people to enjoy nature in the ways that best suit them.

Somerset

With it's substantial wetlands and largely rural make up, Somerset is the perfect place to visit for people interested in viewing animals in their natural habitats. There are several large nature reserves with excellent facilities and impressive hides to view some of the UK's lesser seen species such as Marsh Harriers, Otters and even Cranes.

Wiltshire

The county of Wiltshire in the south west of England, known for it's chalk downland and wide valleys. Due to Salisbury Plain being used as an army training ground, there is much less human presence, making it perfect habitat for many species that would try to avoid densely populated areas.
