North East

The north eastern region of England includes the rugged landscapes of Northumberland National Park bordering Scotland, the eastern edge of the Pennine hills, coastal cliffs in Yorkshire which are home to large colonies of sea birds including puffins and gannets, and the drained flat lands around the Humber.

North West

The north west of England is most well known for the Lake District National Park in Cumbria, with England's highest mountain and deepest lake, it as an area that has been enjoyed by nature lovers for centuries. There is more to the region though, with upland moors on the western side of the Pennines, and the lowland marshes along the flat coastal regions, which create a varied and beautiful landscape.

South East

The south east of England has some of the most famous and iconic locations in Britain, including the snaking river Thames, the beautiful Chiltern hills, the vast stony landscape at Dungeness and the world famous white cliffs of Dover. Even inside the metropolitan London, there are plenty of large parks to escape the urban surroundings.

South West

The south west of England has a varied landscape, from rocky cliffs and sandy beaches along it's long coastline, deep valleys, rolling hills and wetland habitats. Whether you prefer lush forests, or open plains and chalky grasslands, you are bound to find somewhere to explore.
